Ciji Carr, Learning & Development Supervisor at the School of Social Work’s Institute for Families (IFF), was invited to serve on the Committee to Advance Our Common Purposes (CACP) at Rutgers University.
Founded in 1987, CACP is the longest-standing university-wide committee focused on diversity and inclusion. CACP promotes the development of a university community that values and advances diversity and inclusion. It helps to nurture and sustain a civil, compassionate, intellectually honest, and inclusive academic community that is respectful and fosters dialogue and interaction between those with differing views and belief systems.
“I am dedicated to the work here, however none of it would be possible without the level of support and encouragement that I receive at IFF and the School of Social Work as a whole,” said Carr. “Thank you for the vote of confidence. I look forward to contributing on the CACP committee and making an impact.”
“My deep congratulations go to Ciji for her invitation to be part of this Committee,” said Theresa Comprelli McCutcheon, Executive Director of IFF. “Her contributions to promoting DEIB and engagement throughout the School have been significant, and as a leader, she embodies the Committee’s commitment to respective and productive dialogue between those with different views and beliefs.”
