Ciji Carr
Bio
As Learning and Development Manager at the Rutgers School of Social Work’s Institute for Families, Ciji Carr leads the strategy, design, and delivery of innovative workforce development initiatives supporting human services professionals across New Jersey. She manages and mentors a team of instructional designers, oversees the development of in-person, virtual, and asynchronous learning experiences, and partners closely with institutional leaders and subject matter experts to align training with organizational priorities, performance outcomes, and emerging workforce needs. Her work emphasizes technology-enabled learning, data-informed decision-making, and inclusive centered instructional practices.
Ciji has been with the Institute for Families since 2016, advancing from Instructional Designer to Learning and Development Supervisor and now Manager, bringing nearly two decades of experience in instructional design, systems implementation, and workforce support. She is known for introducing forward-thinking learning methodologies, fostering collaborative team cultures, and promoting continuous learning and innovation.
