Rutgers School of Social Work is pleased to announce students enrolled in its Intensive Weekend Master of Social Work (MSW) program are now eligible to earn a Latina/o/x Initiatives for Service, Training, and Assessment (LISTA) Certificate. The LISTA Certificate equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide culturally responsive, evidence-based services to Latina/o/x communities.

Program components include:

  • Specialized coursework tailored to Latina/o/x social work practice
  • Practicum placements with organizations that serve Latina/o/x populations
  • Immersive learning experiences, including study abroad opportunities

By completing this certificate, graduates will distinguish themselves as social workers ready to meet the needs of one of one of the fastest-growing populations in the country.

About the Intensive Weekend MSW Program

Rutgers School of Social Work's Intensive Weekend MSW program is specifically designed for individuals currently employed in the human services field. It offers a flexible and supportive structure that includes:

  • Monthly in-person weekend classes at one of four New Jersey campus locations
  • Online coursework between in-person sessions
  • A cohort-based model that fosters collaboration and peer support
  • Flexible practicum placements, including the option to complete hours at one’s current place of employment
  • A manageable schedule, requiring just eight practicum hours per week
