8th Annual Challenging Racism Conference: A Call to Action

Designed with the practitioner in mind, this livestreamed webinar will provide social workers and allied professionals with a compelling learning opportunity on the topic of racial disparities. Attendees will gain new skills and ideas to address issues of race in their practice with clients, organizations, and communities.

The main keynote will be delivered by Dr. Joy DeGruy, who is a prominent researcher, professor, and author who has spent over 30 years studying and working in the field of social work, with a focus on the impacts of racism, trauma, and slavery on African Americans. Dr. DeGruy is the author of the notable book "Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome: America’s Legacy of Enduring Injury and Healing."

The conference will conclude with a moderated panel discussion including both keynote presenters and other experts.
