Needs Assessment for Survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence with Disabilities in New Jersey (DDS)
This resource hub is meant to support New Jersey's disability and survivor-serving agencies in partnering to promote safety, access, and inclusion for survivors of interpersonal violence across the state.
Here you will find resources and tools to help you build stronger collaborations, assess your programs for safety and access, seek out funding opportunities, and stay connected.
This hub has been developed by the Center for Research on Ending Violence at Rutgers University School of Social Work(opens in a new tab) in response to findings from the New Jersey Needs Assessment for Survivors with Disabilities. Providers across sectors shared that they needed more information, training, and technical assistance to support their work with disabled survivors. Since this hub is meant to be responsive to providers' needs, it will evolve over time; we encourage you to visit often!

Enhancing Victim Services at Rutgers University (VOCA)
The “Enhancing Victim Services throughout Rutgers University Project”, funded by a Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant administered by The New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, aims to provide support and resources to our campus and community partners to help build upon and improve services, programs, policies, and initiatives related to interpersonal violence(opens in a new tab) (including dating violence, sexual violence, and stalking) on campus and in our communities.
On the resource page, you will find resources for capacity building and technical assistance to keep providers informed about the latest violence prevention and intervention research. We aim to build capacity in these areas and inform service providers on best practices that bridge policy, practice, and research, integrating the information into easily digestible formats.
These resources are designed for individuals, organizations, and institutes of higher education who are working with students, faculty, or staff on issues related to interpersonal violence on campus both within and outside of Rutgers.
For questions, opportunities for collaboration, and support, please contact Simone Snyder, MSW, the university-wide faculty and staff training and technical assistance coordinator at sms694@ssw.rutgers.edu
