Bio
Temi Oluguna, LCSW, LCADC, CCS is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a Certified Clinical Supervisor in the state of New Jersey. She received her master’s degree in social work from Rutgers the State University of New Jersey. She earned her bachelor’s degree in project management from the Federal University of Technology, in Nigeria. She is alumnae of the Rutgers School of Social Work. She has worked with social services agencies providing services to diverse populations with multiple problems in New Jersey, and in New York as a program director of a transition housing program providing supportive housing to HIV/AIDS populations with multiple diagnoses of mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring, medical problems, and other social problems. Her areas of focus include providing mental health counseling to children and families infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, providing supportive case/care management services, mental health treatments, substance abuse treatments, and co-occurring treatments to people with dual or multiple diagnoses of developmental disabilities, HIV/AIDS, mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring, medical problems, and other social problems in outpatient and residential settings. She has worked with clients as young as 3 years old, adolescents, adults, and those over 90 years old.
Currently, Temi is the administrator and clinical director of New Jersey licensed outpatient programs, intensive outpatient programs, and partial care programs for mental health treatments, substance abuse treatments, and co-occurring treatments. She has both administrative and clinical experience which includes the development and implementation of the policies and procedures for New Jersey licensed outpatient programs, intensive outpatient programs, SUD partial care programs for mental health treatments, substance abuse treatments, and co-occurring treatments. Her passion since she became a Licensed Social Worker has been in advocating for the mental health needs of children, adolescents, adults, and families affected by mental health problems and substance abuse problems and providing clinical treatments to at-risk clients of varying ages across the lifespan.
Temi’s goals for participating in the DSW program at Rutgers University are for personal and professional development, and to advance her knowledge, clinical skills, and expertise on the topic of mental health treatments, substance abuse treatments, and co-occurring treatments.
