Bio

Kayla Hanley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor of Psychology, with minors in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Saint Peter’s University and her Master of Social Work from Fordham University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. In her earlier career, Kayla focused on crisis work, helping youth and adolescents by meeting them in their home environments to provide de-escalation and stabilization through evidence-based practices such as TF-CBT.

Clinically, Kayla is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and still works at a private practice where her focus is working with trauma survivors Currently, Kayla works as Hudson County’s Mental Health Administrator which combines her clinical background on a macro level so that she helps inform programmatic funding decisions, provides administrative oversight of agencies providing direct service across all levels of care and provides training to specialized populations, such as first responders, on mental health and de-escalation techniques. Kayla is eager to begin the journey to earning her DSW as this will be the nexus of her administrative and clinical passions.
