Bio

Matthew is a Senior Program Coordinator on Grow NJ Kids Training Services unit at the Institute for Families at the Rutgers School of Social Work.  He also co-leads the Institute’s Organizational Health Committee and is serving his second year with a focus on Community Engagement on the SSW Staff Council. He began working with the Institute as a second-year intern with service providers and consumers utilizing funding from the Ryan White Care Act and the Sandy Child and Family Health Study through the Office of Research and Evaluation.  At the School of Social Work, he has served as an Adjunct Professor teaching diversity and oppression, mentored students and newly emerging instructors, and countless social work students.  He is SIFI-certified, guiding students in practicum/field placement, and volunteers as a mentor on the Management and Policy Alumni Connection Program through The Center for Leadership and Management.

Matthew holds a Master’s in social work with a concentration in Management & Policy and has a special interest in development, fundraising, and volunteering.  He has served as a volunteer for several organizations, including St. Peters Food Pantry of Chelsea and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson, and Union both as a mentor and co-chair of the Leadership Council and serves as board Chair of Triple C Housing, Inc.
