Bio

Lisa joined the Rutgers School of Social Work in 2021 as a Student Support Coach for the Online Social Work Program, where she focuses on academic support, student engagement, and assisting students through the challenges of online learning. Lisa gained her BSW and MSW from Rutgers University and is a proud recipient of the Violence Against Women & Children certificate (VAWC) now known as the Certificate on Interpersonal Violence and Trauma (C-IVT). During her MSW educational career, Lisa interned at Rutgers CAPS, mentoring students, explaining educational goals, and working with at-risk students. As a Rutgers student support coach, Lisa has developed a coaching manual to help guide conversations and to maximize student academic success. Lisa is constantly on the move, either traveling or learning new things. She is extremely passionate about student success and excited to connect with her students throughout their educational careers.
