Lucy Nonas-Barnes is a doctoral candidate in the School of Social Work at Rutgers University, where she is pursuing a PhD with a focus on implementation science, social emotional learning, and educational effectiveness. Lucy’s research and practice experience spans the fields of school-based mental health, juvenile justice, DBT implementation, and child welfare systems improvement. In addition to her research, Lucy brings over a decade of clinical and supervisory experience in trauma-informed care and DBT with youth, families, and communities impacted by systems involvement. She is a licensed master social worker in New York State and a seasoned clinical trainer in DBT and trauma-informed practices.
