Bio
In December of 2020, Melissa Bova joined the Rutgers family as a Learning and Development Supervisor for the Institute for Families. With a rich professional and educational background in curriculum development, she manages a dynamic team of instructional designers that contribute to the large-scale training programs offered by the New Jersey Child Welfare Training Partnership and the Grow New Jersey Kids Training Services initiatives. Certified in Quality Matters, Melissa plays a pivotal role in strategic curriculum development and administrative support, enhancing the quality of educational offerings through innovative technology integration and data-driven approaches.
She holds an M.A. in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashford University and a B.A. in History from San Diego State University. Melissa's expertise spans various LMS platforms, CMS systems, and educational technologies, ensuring effective and engaging learning experiences. Outside of her role at Rutgers, Melissa teaches an introductory course on digital literacy and the impact of digital technology at the University of Arizona.
In her personal life, Melissa is a mother to three beautiful children and an avid reader, enjoying an average of 10 books a month.
