Bio
Julia Cusano is an Assistant Research Professor at the School of Social Work at Rutgers University. Her research focuses on community and college-campus based interpersonal violence, specifically sexual and intimate partner violence. Dr. Cusano has a particular interest in using both quantitative and qualitative methods to explore formal and informal help-seeking trajectories and the impact of community-based interventions related to interpersonal violence. The overarching goal of her research is to develop methods and interventions to enhance survivor engagement at the systems level. Her research has been published in journals such as Journal of Human Trafficking, Violence Against Women, Journal of Interpersonal Violence, and Journal of Women and Gender in Higher Education.
