Social workers and parents are often only exposed to negative and fear-inducing challenges of helping young people navigate the digital world. This can lead practitioners to respond to adolescent experiences as causes for clinical concern and alarm. The purpose of Growing Up Digital is to encourage them to focus on adolescents’ narratives of online experiences, working with them to create mindful digital media consumption habits.
