Supporting Students Living in Out-of-Home Placements ​

In this MMP, students living in out-of-home placements, such as foster or kinship care, are at-risk for academic challenges. This session will provide the participant with an overview of this growing issue, describe the impact that living in out-of-home placements may have on the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic growth of this population, and offer a trauma-informed approach to supporting students in care. Ready-to-implement strategies will be suggested.
