Christine Allegra

Christine Allegra joined Rutgers University's Institute for Families in 2009 and serves as an Associate Research Manager. She leads a team of evaluators who design, implement, and analyze evaluation activities for three statewide training programs serving New Jersey's child welfare, early childhood, and child support professionals. Her work supports workforce development by providing data-informed insights that strengthen learning experiences and inform enhancements to training programs. Christine earned her MSW and Ph.D. from the Rutgers School of Social Work. In addition to her work at IFF, she teaches courses in the School of Social Work. Prior to joining the IFF, she worked as a mental health clinician, providing crisis, inpatient, and outpatient mental health services.
