Professional Development Certificate Program and Customized Training
REVs Professional Development Certificate Program is designed to increase the capacity of entire agencies by enhancing their understanding of interpersonal violence and building a trauma-informed workforce.
Established in 2011, the program offers agencies two options: enrolling in a comprehensive 10-course certificate series or selecting individual courses to create a customized curriculum tailored to their unique needs. Master classes are also available for agencies that have already completed the program. The program covers core content areas such as understanding violence, screening and assessment, diversity, ethical considerations, and legal resources. Additionally, it addresses specialized topics, including mental health, substance use, economic empowerment, and more. Participants gain the knowledge and tools to provide trauma-informed services and effectively support survivors, regardless of their roles or prior experience.
The course catalog currently features 5 core courses and 11 electives, offering diverse learning opportunities. Historically, the program has partnered with state agencies like the NJ Department of Children and Families and the Administrative Office of the Courts to train cohorts annually. Since 2020, the program has expanded to collaborate with community-based organizations and now welcomes partnerships with non-profit and for-profit sectors. In-person, live webinars, and video-on-demand options are available.
