Bio

Bernardo Hiraldo, MSW, LCSW is the Associate Director of Practicum Learning and Instructor at Rutgers University School of Social Work, Camden Campus. Mr. Hiraldo is a veteran of the United States Armed Forces and received an honorable discharge after he completed his tour of duty. He went on to pursue his undergraduate degree in Social Work from York College in Queens, New York. Upon completion of his B.S.W., he was accepted into the Advanced Standing program at NYU. He graduated with his M.S.W. degree with a clinical concentration.

Mr. Hiraldo started out his career as inpatient social worker at North Central Bronx Hospital in New York.  He went on to pursue opportunities in outpatient mental health services and was hired at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in 2003. He worked in various treatment settings that included a day treatment program, outpatient case management services, and the psychiatric emergency room. Mr. Hiraldo remained in the hospital setting until his departure from St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in 2011.

Mr. Hiraldo is currently a licensed clinical social worker in the state of New Jersey.  Since 2001, Mr. Hiraldo has provided therapeutic mental health services to individuals and families. He has worked as a fee for service clinician in the community when he was living in New York.  Mr. Hiraldo continued to work in private practice and community mental health agency program prior to joining the Rutgers University School of Social Work practicum learning office in May of 2014.
