Bio

Margarita Baldeo, LCSW is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapeutic services in English and Spanish. Margarita graduated from Rutgers University, Livingston campus, in 2005 with a B.A. in Social Work. She continued her education at Rutgers University’s School of Social Work in New Brunswick, NJ. where she received her Masters in Social Work in 2006. In 2016, she completed the Play Therapy Training program at Monmouth University. In 2021, Margarita completed the School Administration-Principal certification through Thomas Edison-NJEXCEL program. Currently, Margarita is a full time Director of Special Services in a public school district where she is responsible for the implementation and compliance oversight of IEPS, 504 plans, School based mental health services, and the response to intervention process. Margarita is well versed in the N.J.A.C.6A:14 Special Education Code, programs, services, and a variety of disabilities such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia to name a few. In addition to her role as a director, Margarita is the owner of Mindful Mama Wellness Counseling Services LLC, private practice located in Pennington, NJ. Margarita is married and a proud mother of three children. Margarita attributes her success to the unconditional support and love that her husband and parents provide her with daily. This journey would not be possible without their support. 


Margarita has dedicated her career to supporting students with special needs, behavioral disorders, developmental disabilities, and mental health disorders. As a private practice clinician, Margarita has worked extensively with children, adolescents, and adults suffering from trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. Lastly, Margarita has also worked extensively with women experiencing prenatal/postpartum stressors, trauma, abuse, and perinatal mood disorders. By acquiring a DSW, Margarita hopes to further her knowledge and contribution to the field of postpartum and perinatal mood disorders. She’s hopes to complete the required training to earn the credential for certified perinatal mental health counselor. Margarita is excited about joining the DSW class of 2026
