Meet our MSW Students!
Ana L. Cortes is currently enrolled in the traditional MSW program at Rutgers University. She received her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Family and Child Studies at Montclair State University. Ana is the first member in her family to pursue a master’s degree and a career in social services. She already has experience working with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault but wants to put an emphasis on mental and behavioral health during her time in the MSW program. Neil Duffy served in the Marine Corps for four years and earned many medals and awards for his contributions. He received his Bachelors of Arts from Rider University in 2011 and is now pursuing a MSW here at Rutgers through the Intensive Weekend program as well as working as a Readjustment Counseling Therapist at the Secaucus Vet Center. As a veteran himself, he understands the struggle of adjusting to life back at home. He wants to find alternative therapeutic ways to help veterans heal and move forward with the help of movies. As someone who knew they wanted to be a therapist from the age of nine, he found his calling early and Rutgers is helping him get to the next step in his career.
