Nikolai Tymkiw

Nikolai Tymkiw grew up outside Philadelphia and has a diverse background in environmental policy and water treatment. He served for six years in the U.S. Navy aboard an aircraft carrier before pursuing his education at Rutgers University, where he earned his degree in Environmental Policy. Nikolai then worked with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), specializing in GIS and Coastal Shoreline Mapping. He also gained valuable experience at American Water, where he held various roles, including maintenance planner at the water treatment plant. Nikolai is excited to bring his expertise and passion for environmental sustainability to the Institute for Families team.
