Loren Toto, MSW, is a Ph.D. student at the Rutgers School of Social Work whose research focuses on child and family policy and the ways public systems and community supports intersect to promote family well-being. She is particularly interested in how social policies, such as paid leave, child care access, and refundable tax credits like the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credit (CTC) shape economic stability and caregiving experiences for families.
