Presented by Associate Professor Anna Haley

Can my resume go over a page - and do I add an objective statement or not? What font looks best? How do I describe my experience most compellingly? Do I need a cover letter, and what should go into it? Learn the art and strategy of creating a really solid set of application materials as you launch your post-MSW career.

This event is part of a four-part series designed to prepare upcoming and recent social work graduates with tools for successful professional job searches, including writing great resumes and cover letters; interviewing to put your best self forward; negotiating compensation packages to "do well while doing good," and understanding the complexities of career job benefits (like how health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off work). Having trained social work students, alums, and professionals on job search strategies for the last 25 years, Professor Haley will review key strategies in these sessions as well as take participant questions.

All sessions will be recorded.
