People journey through life seeking to acquire and maintain positive emotions. The two most sought-after emotions are pleasure and happiness; however, they are often conflated, reducing the likelihood of maintaining a positive sense of well-being.

Another leading trend people apply in their pursuit of happiness are commercial self-care practices: which are not often the best means in achieving harmonious peace. A common misstep and the most important concept in self-care is to explore one's SELF first.

Using a social identity framework, we will first explore your given, chosen and core attributes that are unique to you, then plan out self-care techniques that align with your unique life and surroundings. This seminar will explore practical strategies one can implement in life, such as interpersonal connection, service, and mindful coping, thus leading one on a successful path towards acquiring and sustaining happiness.
