Bio

Christine Kephart is an educator first and foremost.  She has nearly a decade of experience as a university writing center director and many years of experience teaching writing to students at all levels of higher education, with particular expertise in doctoral level writing for STEM, Nursing, Education, Business, and Social Work.  Christine has a PhD in English Literature from Drew University where she studied under the mentorship of Merrill Skaggs, and she is a published scholar and speaker in Willa Cather studies.  Outside of the university setting, she actively participates in organizations that advocate for women and promote education, such as Jesuits Worldwide Learning, an organization that provides higher education in English for students living on the margins of society in refugee camps and war-torn regions. Christine is also a musician.
