Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Social Work Major
Are you interested in a career that is personally rewarding and in-demand? You've come to the right place.
Rutgers offers a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a social work major from the School of Arts and Sciences. This outstanding professional degree program prepares graduates for beginning-level generalist social work practice. The Rutgers Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a social work major is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and is equivalent to the CSWE-accredited BSW degree. If you’re considering a career where you can make a positive difference in the world, this may be the program for you. You may take class on either the New Brunswick, Camden, or Mays Landing campus.
It’s important to know that this degree program is different than many others. You cannot simply declare social work as your major: you must apply to and be accepted into the BA in Social Work program. We don’t want you to miss out on this great opportunity, so take note of the deadlines. You must apply early in the spring semester of your sophomore year for admission to the major at the beginning of your junior year.
