Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW)
Are you interested in a career in social work? You’ve come to the right place. Rutgers offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work (BASW), a major in social work from the School of Arts and Sciences. This outstanding professional degree program prepares graduates for beginning-level generalist social work practice. If you’re considering a career where you can make a positive difference in the world, this may be the program for you. You may take class on either the New Brunswick or Camden campus.
It’s important to know that this degree program is different than many others. You cannot simply declare social work as your major: you must apply to and be accepted into the BASW program. We don’t want you to miss out on this great opportunity, so take note of the deadlines. You must apply early in the spring semester of your sophomore year for admission to the major at the beginning of your junior year. The application deadline has been extended and applications will be accepted through to March 15th. If you have questions about the Camden or Mays Landing campus please contact Dr. Plummer at firstname.lastname@example.org and questions for the New Brunswick campus should be referred to Dr. Battle at email@example.com.
