To preserve the impact of the School of Social Work brand, we need a cohesive identity. The resources below will help you do just that in your print and web projects.  


You can find templates to create the following projects in the shared P drive to P: Marketing\2016-17 Final Templates, or you can email to be sent templates via email. A few tips about using templates:

  • Font should be Arial or Palatino Linotype.
  • PowerPoints can be saved as JPEGs or PDFs for print projects. 
  • Stick with a maximum of two or three font sizes and types. 
  • Photos should be high resolution and professionally shot. See our photo archive in the P drive for photos.  
  • For best visual results, stay within the space constraints for text size and length.

Official Colors and Typography 

Rutgers' official school color is scarlet. Rutgers scarlet is often used in conjunction with black, gray, and white. The Pantone® color system equivalent for Rutgers scarlet is Pantone® 186.

The ITC Giovanni and Formata BQ font families have been chosen as the primary typefaces for Rutgers communications.The font families are available upon request at Palatino is an acceptable substitute when the ITC Giovanni typeface is not available.

SSW LogoLogo and Shield 

The logo should appear on all approved Rutgers SSW events and must not be used for events that aren't endorsed by the School. Download hi-res versions of the logo and shield by visiting the Rutgers download zone. You will be asked to log in first.

For our internal audiences, photos can be found on the shared P: Marketing\2016-17 Final Templates. You can also download a model release form if you will be taking photos at your events.
