Bio

Rachel Schwartz, MSW, LSW, is the Assistant Dean of Innovative Learning Technologies, Director of Online MSW Programs and an Associate Professor of Teaching at Rutgers University School of Social Work. Ms. Schwartz earned her MSW from Rutgers University School of Social Work and prior to her current position was employed at the schools’ Center on Violence Against Women and Children.

She has focused her social work career on research, management, and administration, with a particular emphasis on online education, as well as gender issues and interpersonal violence. Her most recent experience includes development and management of the online and blended MSW programs, including academic advising of online and blended program students.  In addition to student support, Ms. Schwartz also works closely with faculty and PTLs teaching online to provide pedagogical support and expertise in teaching online, as well as developing online courses.
