Data Analysis for Social Workers
Data Analysis for Social Workers is an intensive, 13-session course. There are four quizzes and six required homework assignments, each constructed to expand your knowledge of:
- Descriptive Statistics
- Normal Distribution
- Analysis of Variance
- Correlation-Regression Analysis
Applying these concepts to your practice will assist you in determining the success of interventions and programs as you work with clients, organizations, and communities. The class learning format will consist of lecturettes and discussion of homework assignments and quiz results. Your performance will be evaluated on a Pass or Fail basis (This course leads to a certificate not to academic credit). When you pass the course you will receive a certificate of completion. But more importantly, when you pass Data Analysis for Social Workers you will be able to read the professional literature with a more critical eye and, should you choose, be able to apply some important statistical techniques to your own professional practice.
