Statement on Justice from Dean Cathryn C. Potter
November 20, 2021

RUSSW stands in solidarity with the families of Anthony Huber, Joseph Rosenbaum, and Gaige Grosskreutz as they weather this storm, and with the family of Ahmaud Arbery, as they await news and hope for justice. This time in history is hard for many in our country, for those of us facing again the realization that white supremacy is rooted into our criminal justice systems and practices, and for those for whom this knowledge is old and heavy. It is a time to use our very best skills in solidarity and allyship. The time is come, as it does for every American generation, to stand together, unswerving in action to build systems in our communities that serve justice. I do not have answers, but I do know that the time has come for radical intervention if we are to commit to a more just future.
