College Factual has named Rutgers School of Social Work the best for veterans out of all the colleges and universities it reviews. The School of Social Work is ranked at number one out of 360 institutions, an improvement from its position at number two last year.
According to its website, College Factual’s rankings combine quality offered to veterans as well as quality in the social work major. Some factors included in the ranking are expected salaries, educational value, program accreditation, and several other relevant factors.
Associate Professor and MSW Program Director Patricia Findley’s research interests include the veteran population. “This is such a well-deserved and well-earned ranking for Rutgers School of Social Work,” she said. “The New Brunswick campus offers a tremendous amount of support for veteran students, and the School of Social Work provides flexibility to help these veterans work through their programs. Long before online programs were established, I had the pleasure of teaching a deployed veteran via the Internet to keep him active in our program while he was in Iraq.”
