The Center for Leadership and Management and the Management and Policy Concentration are pleased to present their 2015 - 2016 Lunch & Learn Lecture Series over the fall and spring semesters.
The purpose of this series is to provide the MAP students and others with the opportunity to meet leaders and managers in the public, non-profit, and private sector. The series is an excellent opportunity for future agency managers and those interested in agency management to explore the guests’ journeys and ask questions about their experience in the management, leadership, and policy arenas.
For the fall semester, the first "Lunch and Learn" will take place in the 7th floor classroom at 390 George Street on October 14, 2015 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm and will feature Natasha Johnson.
Natasha Johnson was appointed Director of the Division of Family Development (DFD) in April 2015, after serving as Deputy Director. In that role, which she began in 2011, she supervised the day-to-day operations of the state's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and General Assistance welfare programs, including behavioral health and substance abuse services for these New Jersey residents. She also oversaw the state's child care and Refugee Resettlement programs.
Natasha has 20 years of experience working with children and families, as a social services clinician as well as a manager who developed, launched, and supervised social services programs.
Prior to joining the DFD, Natasha was the senior vice president at Prevent Child Abuse New Jersey. During her eight years there, she worked on a nationally recognized home visitation program and a teen parenting program. Her career of service began working in the juvenile justice system with delinquent and substance abusing teens.
Natasha has a bachelor's degree and master's degree in Social Work from Florida State University.
Pizza and drinks will be provided.
