MSW Event: What is Environmental Justice?

Speakers: Rutgers School of Social Work's Christine Morales (Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admission, Assistant Professor of Teaching) and Marianne Bischoff (Assistant Professor of Teaching and Management and Policy Field Specialist)

Social workers are ethically bound to serve populations who are overrepresented in experiences of oppression. Racial, economic, social, and environmental injustices occur as intertwined forces of oppression. This session will discuss the meaning of environmental justice and its connection to the social work profession.
