Promoting Equity and Social Justice for NJ Families and Communities: The Role of Social Work
New Jersey is one of the wealthiest states in the U.S., so why are so many of our clients, families, and communities struggling? What contributes to such inequities? And how are such inequities related to the social problems that social workers fight to address every day?
Join Rutgers School of Social Work for a panel discussion with policy and advocacy experts from New Jersey Policy Perspective about the role of social work in promoting social justice for our clients, our families, and our communities. Panelists will discuss steps forward and share ideas for what social workers can do to promote equity and social justice.
This event will take place at 536 George Street, Room 209, New Brunswick, NJ. Light lunch and refreshments will be served. The event will also be streamed in Newark (Conklin Hall, Room 455), Camden (social work building conference room), and New Brunswick (120 Albany Street, Classroom B).
