Not On My Campus: Countering Extreme Violence and Hate Locally
How can we identify, resist, and counter radical extremism and hate in our community? On April 11, the Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs, in partnership with the Global Peace Foundation, will host “Not On My Campus: Countering Extreme Violence and Hate Locally,” an educational event focused on radical extremism, white supremacy, and violence. Speakers include Natalie Bembry (Assistant Director, Office of Student Affairs, Teaching Instructor and Campus Coordinator for the School of Social Work at Rutgers University-Camden), John Childress (President and CEO, Childress Business Consulting and Trainer for the Community Leader Countering Violence Extremism Training Program), and John D. Cohen (Distinguished Professor of Professional Practice in Criminal Justice, Rutgers University School of Arts and Sciences, and Former Counter Terrorism Coordinator for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security).
