Leveraging a Higher Education Diversity Initiative to Reduce K-12 School Segregation
New Jersey’s K-12 schools are some of the most segregated in the nation, by race and socioeconomic status. Join us on Thursday, March 18, to examine and discuss the systemic incentives that perpetuate school (and corresponding neighborhood) segregation, and a proposed higher education diversity initiative that might instead incentivize K-12 school diversity. This work was awarded a Spring 2020 Rutgers–New Brunswick Diversity Innovation Grant.
