Diversity and Inclusion Series: Preventing the Criminalization of Mental Illness
Despite increasing awareness about mental health, many of our policies and practices to help people with mental health issues needs improvement. One area is the justice system. Come learn about innovative practices in the criminal justice system and social work to not only help people with mental health issues, but to prevent the criminalization of mental health issues.
The 2020 Diversity and Inclusion event series hosted by the SSW's Office of Student Affairs will host three events this March:

- Preventing the Criminalization of Mental Illness | Thursday, March 12- Newark Campus
- The Disproportionate Criminalization of Race | Wednesday, March 25- New Brunswick Campus
