2018 Blanche Grosswald Memorial Endowed Lecture

Join Rutgers School of Social Work for the 2018 Blanche Grosswald Memorial Endowed Lecture, featuring a presentation by Professor Victoria Banyard, Understanding & Preventing Violence: Where We've Been, Where We Are, and Where We Need to Go. Part of an annual series, this event will feature a free continuing education (CEU) credit and lunch to honor the intellectual legacy of Blanche Grosswald, former assistant professor at the School.

A graduate of UC Berkeley, Blanche Grosswald worked as a social worker at the Golden Gate Regional Center in San Francisco, CA. Her research interests overlapped several fields including social welfare, sociology, public health, law, labor, and health policy. She was beloved by her husband, friends, family, students, and colleagues at Rutgers for her courage, and support for vulnerable populations, throughout a lifetime struggle with depression.
