Rutgers China Bridge Program in Social Work and Public Policy
China Bridge Program at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, offered Chinese university students the opportunity to attend a series of lectures and workshops at Rutgers’ prestigious School of Social Work. Throughout the course of the program, students were exposed to a range of academic and cultural experiences. The program trained students who come from social work, public policy, public administration, and other management fields background, and who are eager to become better skilled in English and experience what a top American university has to offer. The program consists of a series of lectures at the School of Social Work, as well as English language training. Students also had the opportunity to interact with current Rutgers students and faculty. This program was a joint effort between The Rutgers China Office and The Huamin Research Center.

Students visited Rutger Livingston Student Center before English Center.
Students from China attended an "English Corner" at the Livingston Circle to practice speaking English and Learning from current Rutgers Students. Student worker speaks to students about his experience here at Rutgers.
When students were not in class, they took several trips around the area. The students were able to visit Princeton University to learn more about the history, Princeton Battlefield State Park and Institute for Advanced Studies.

Students took a trip to Boston to see the prestigious Harvard Library.
Students were given a tour at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Students travel to Sandy Hook with Marie Callahan and Jiang Wu to experience the jersey shore!

Rutgers is only about an hour away from the big apple, New York City! Students were able to shop and look at the city's beautiful view!
After an excellent three weeks, students were awarded a certificate of completion during the closing ceremony.
