Jamey Lister, PhD (Rutgers University, 2014), is an assistant professor at Rutgers University School of Social Work. Dr. Lister’s interdisciplinary research focuses on the characteristics, consequences, and treatment of addiction among minority and high-risk populations. His work aims to address the ongoing epidemic of opioid-related overdose deaths, barriers to evidence-based treatment, and improve access and quality of treatment, with a goal to develop knowledge on addiction that has an impact on academics, policymakers, practitioners, and the public. Dr. Lister completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Wayne State University School of Medicine’s Substance Abuse Research Division, where he maintains an affiliate faculty position, and prior to joining the faculty at Rutgers, he was an assistant professor at Wayne State University School of Social Work.
