Continuing Education in Aging
By 2030, one in five Americans will be age 65 or older. Professionals already recognize this demographic shift, as they are increasingly interfacing with client populations who face challenges and opportunities in middle and later life.
Rutgers School of Social Work regularly offers a range of continuing education workshops on aging to support the highest level of competence among professionals who are working with, or preparing to work with, older adults and their families. Completing particular sequences of workshops fulfills the requirements for the School's Continuing Education Certificates in aging, including:
- Basic Certificate in Gerontology
- Advanced Certificate in Gerontology
- Certificate in Senior Services Management
- Certificate in Senior Housing Issues
