Professional Credit Courses (PCC) consist of non-degree, graduate-level courses. These courses provide an excellent opportunity for individuals who may be considering the MSW program to explore introductory classes without committing to a full or part-time degree program. The courses are equivalent to those offered during the first year of the MSW degree program. Upon acceptance into the Rutgers MSW degree program, up to 18 PCC credits may be applied towards your MSW.

Please note:

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university is the prerequisite for admission.
• Taking courses in the PCC in no way guarantees admission to the School of Social Work. Anyone interested in the M.S.W. degree program should apply online at http://gradstudy.rutgers.edu.

Courses

There are 5 MSW degree required courses and several electives offered through PCC. All classes listed below are three (3) credits. Please note: If you are accepted into the MSW degree program, only one elective will be credited towards your Masters degree.

PCC makes graduate social work courses more accessible to practitioners by offering them throughout the state. Courses are held in the following locations*:
