MSW Open House Programs
The mission of the School of Social Work is to develop knowledge through education, training,
and research to create dynamic solutions to social problems and to strengthen family and
community well- being in this diverse and increasingly global environment of New Jersey and beyond.
The Rutgers University School of Social Work is always interested in receiving admission applications from individuals interested in making a difference in the lives of others. Whether you are considering a career in social work or are already working as a social worker and seekingan advanced degree, we invite you to attend one of our OPEN HOUSE programs.
Our OPEN HOUSE programs provide interested applicants the opportunity to meet faculty, field education staff, and admission officers of the School. These programs offer an overview of the social work profession, the School’s curriculum, and specific information about the application process.

The School of Social Work at Rutgers offers BSW, MSW, DSW and Ph.D. degree programs, as well as joint degree programs with the Rutgers School of Law in Camden and Newark, and a MSW/MDiv Program with the Princeton Theological Seminary.
