School of Social Work Convocation and Hooding Ceremony

On May 14, 2012, the School of Social Work held its convocation and hooding ceremony for four PhD graduates, 111 BASW graduates from both Camden and New Brunswick campuses and 456 MSW graduates from Camden, New Brunswick and Newark campuses.  Our heartiest congratulations to all!

Marla Blunt Carter (SSW '03) addressed the crowd of graduates, family, and friends.  She ended by saying to the graduates:

"Be Proud of what you’ve accomplished...Be proud to be a social worker, and ..Be proud to be a Rutgers Alum...because we are All So Proud of You!  Congratulations Class of 2012!   Now, Go Change the World!"

Allison Blake

On May 4, 2012, the School of Social Work held a celebration for all graduating MSW students. New Jersey Department of Children and Families Commissioner Allison Blake  (SSW '89) addressed the crowd of graduates, faculty, and staff.  She gave the graduates her "Words of Wisdom, Ten Lessons Learned from the Field".

Inaugural Professor William Neal Brown Memorial Lecture

On May 1, 2012, the School of Social Work held the inaugural Professor William Neal Brown Memorial Lecture.  Rabbi Joshua Chasan presented "Dr. William Neal Brown: Exemplar of the Integrity of Integration".  The lecture is the made possible by a generous gift from long time associate of William Neal Brown, Suzanne Zimmer.
