Changing the Story: Bold Solutions to Helping Youth Find Jobs, Open Pathways to Education, and Develop Life-Long Self-Sufficiency

Many young people between the ages of 16 and 24 are struggling in today's economic climate. These disconnected youth, may of whom are high school dropouts, are experiencing a nationwide unemployment rate of some 29%. In addition, education is a way out but significant barriers exist.

More than 400 social workers participated in this symposium which sought to generate bold solutions through a positive dialogue regarding what may be the largest social problem of our time. Help us change the story by joining us at this special event. Professionals as well as youth will explore recommendations for policy and practice.
