MSW Certificate in Aging

The Rutgers School of Social Work is committed to helping to grow a "bigger and better" workforce for our rapidly aging population. One primary way that the School strives toward this goal is through its MSW Certificate in Aging Program.

The Certificate Program is embedded within the master's curriculum in that it does not require students to complete any additional work beyond the credit requirements of the core MSW curriculum. Instead, it requires students to focus activities that fulfill the general requirements of the MSW curriculum specifically in the area of aging.

The School also provides competitive scholarships to MSW students who demonstrate exceptional promise as leaders in the field of aging through its Fellowship in Aging program. Scholarship recipients are automatically enrolled in the MSW Certificate in Aging program if they are not already.
